Castilene is a lightweight sculpting medium which is more like a wax than a clay. Castilene is unique in it's blending of these sculptural mediums. Available in a Hard and a Soft grade. (Both grades are quite hard at room temperature). Castilene is sulfur-free, and will not inhibit Platinum Silicone or other mold-making rubber compounds. It can be melted at 170F and poured into molds, which is useful for design alterations after casting. Heat and sculpt with clay tools as you would with plasticene while warm, or use heated tools to carve like wax. Chill Castilene to achieve optimum hardness for high detail and burnishing. Comes in 2 lb. blocks, greenish color. 1 case contains 40 lbs of Castilene.
