Derived from the castor bean, this material finds use mainly as a mold release when pouring portland and gypsum cements into rubber molds. Safe to use on latex rubber molds, Castor Oil will not gum up like many other vegetable oils. To use, dilute with ethanol (4 parts ethanol: 1 part castor oil) and spray or brush onto the mold surface. Allow to dry and pour your part.
