This one has been used just about as long as people have been casting plastic resins and still finds use today as a general-purpose release agent for plastics and waxes. The one drawback is that if your cast part is going to be painted when it comes out of your mold, the silicone must be removed so that the paint will stick and not "fisheye". (Naphtha or paint thinner work well to remove silicone.) Do not use as a pattern release when pouring silicone RTV's!
