Historically, beeswax was used as a modeling and casting material for the lost wax process, but because of the lower cost of the microcrystalline waxes, it's mostly used for encaustic painting today. And the sweet honey smell is unbeatable! Available in both Yellow and Bleached. Use the bleached for its purity and truer color when adding pigments for encaustic painting.
